Being a caricaturist at heart, when Neal crosses over to do a portrait illustration, the anatomy isn't always perfect...there are lines there that shouldn't be, but in caricature every line makes an expression, so when he does a portrait, there's a lot of caricature in it which makes it personified and uniquely a Portnoy.
